ICanServeToo, the youth arm of ICanServe Foundation, conducted a healing art session for children of breast cancer survivors at Brittany Hotel BGC on September 7, 2024.

Dubbed “Heart to heART,” the event aimed to foster friendships and meaningful connections among its young participants. 11 children of survivors and 20 volunteers joined the event. After walking through a guided tour of The Pink Room: A Gallery for Good, participants spent the Saturday afternoon painting according to prompts, making multicolored slime, and collaboratively painting a pair of Nike Airforce 1 Triple Whites. The painted sneakers were a special auction lot at The Pink Room live auction held on September 14.

“We are happy that our young ones feel empowered and supported in their desire to serve the breast cancer community,” shares ICanServe president Nikoy de Guzman. “ICanServe welcomes people of all ages who wish to provide all forms of supportive care for our survivors and their families. We are especially proud of ICanServeToo. Their initiative has quickly borne fruit and we look forward to their next projects.”

Formed by Sabine Magsanoc and Nikki dela Cruz, ICanServeToo hopes to share the stories and empower the voices of breast cancer survivors and their families. Follow ICanServeToo on Instagram and TikTok to learn of upcoming activities and volunteer opportunities.
